Social media influencer Neeza Powers decided to share his story with the world, beginning 130 days ago.
Powers, born a biological male, struggled in the world and with his identity. This caused him to begin to transition to a female. Powers felt “afraid” that “the world wouldn’t love me as a man.”
In March, Powers began not to care what the world thought of him and started his detransition. In June, he began to read the Bible.

In just three short days, Powers pointed how three of the biggest takeaways he learned from reading God’s word.
“So after reading the Bible for the first time in my life in just three days, here’s what I’ve learned. The first is that He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIFE. I don’t know exactly where that came from, but I know it’s in the Gospels. The second is, is the body not more than clothes and life, not more than food. That really meant so much. And the third is that all knowledge starts and ends here,” Powers declared as he held up his Bible.
“And that’s the most important thing, is, that’s the question I’ve always had, is where to go and find an answer? This is where all answers lie. So you guys are sending me scriptures, commenting on my videos, coming on my lives, and leading me towards different scriptures. You’re the smartest people that I know. You grew up knowing God’s word, and you’re able to find the knowledge. But I think that anybody who knows that this is where you find it has that internal intelligence, and I’m just so lucky to have that the rest of my life,” he continued.
Two weeks ago, Powers shared several photos on his Instagram alongside his girlfriend. He included an update on his walk with Christ.
“117 days ago, I was stuck, and I didn’t even know it. I didn’t know the truth; I didn’t know Jesus is Lord,” Powers wrote in a post on his social media. “When I fully submitted myself to the Lord, I had no idea what my future would look like. I didn’t know if I would be happy, I didn’t know if anyone would love and accept me, but I trusted His way was better, even if I didn’t know what that looked like. And I’m sure glad I did. Welcome to the happiest..I mean most JOYOUS days of my life.”
Powers’ testimony is proof that God can do anything. God can heal all the wounds of a broken identity, and He can bring joy to those who are hurting.
