Forrest Frank might be a successful Christian artist, but the singer-songwriter recently admitted he still struggles with his fame.

“Wrote this song over a year ago when i was first struggling to process the whirlwind of ‘success,’” he captioned an Instagram video. “A year later and i’m still struggling. I have so much to learn & have so many thoughts…but for now i’ll let the song speak for itself. Feels like the right time to share it with y’all.”

The song contains lyrics like, “Mom said, ‘Looks like you made it. You’re the talk of the town and you may never come down,’ All the songs you’ve been making helping people to change, While I’m grateful for every thank you, I get let me set one thing straight.”

“I don’t want an award, I don’t want my name lifted high. All the glory’s yours. I just want you Lord,” Frank sang.

Frank’s newly-shared song comes after recent comments explaining why he would not be attending this year’s Dove Awards, or any other award shows in the future.

“I’m convicted, personally, that a line that I can draw is that I will not receive a trophy for something that is from Jesus and for Jesus,” the artist explained in an Instagram post.

Frank shared that he has been “wrestling with this” for awhile, and now feels “a conviction to go even a step further and say, ‘I don’t know if I even want to step on the stage — I don’t know if I want to step in the room.’”

“So I have decided to take a stance of non-participation,” he concluded. “I will not be attending the Doves or the Grammys. I hope to be an example to the youth that the trophy is our salvation. The trophy is that my name is listed in the Book of Life, and I get to have eternal life. What good is a piece of metal going to do compared to that?”

Frank also recently shared some exciting life news — he and wife Grace are expecting!

“BABY #2 COMING SOON :),” the singer-songwriter captioned a slideshow of family photos, including their son Bodie, 2.

Frank has previously spoken about how important being a father is in his life, telling the YOUTH NATION podcast, “Touring is fun, but there’s no world where I’d be okay being away from my wife and son for more than three or four days right now. I know I’m going to be 60 years old one day, looking back, and I’d pay whatever I made on a tour … for just one more day with my son.”

Frank might be one of the most successful Christian artists today, but for him, family and faith come first.
