Could a KING OF QUEENS reboot be on the way? Fans of the show think stars Kevin James and Leah Remini’s recent posts might be a clue.
“It’s been 27 years since THE KING OF QUEENS premiered, and I still get so many messages every single day from fans who tell me that our show is still a part of their daily lives,” Remini posted on Instagram in September. “I am so grateful. Thank you for 27 years of amazing memories.”
James responded with a post of his own, sharing a clip of the show and captioning it, “Can’t believe it’s been 27 years since KING OF QUEEN premiered. Love you all, thank you so much for watching!”

The pair have continued to post photos and clips from the sitcom, and many fans think James and Remini are teasing a potential reunion or reboot project.
“I’ve noticed that both Leah and Kevin have been posting lots of KING OF QUEENS related clips and things on their Instagram accounts,” one person wrote on Reddit. “I know that they just had the 27th anniversary but all this talk is making me feel like they may be planning something behind the scenes.”
Another added, “Kevin said in an interview (from about a year ago) that he wasn’t interested in doing a revival without Jerry Stiller.”
Stiller played Remini’s character’s father. He passed away in 2020.
“But I think it’s always possible he could reunite with Leah for a TV special to share memories, like they’re doing with the EVERYBODY LOVES RAYMOND cast,” the fan continued.
One person speculated James and Remini’s posts are part of “a new licensing/syndication deal,” as the CBS show now reruns on Cozi.
While fans are sure something is up, James spoke about the possibility of a KING OF QUEENS reboot in 2024.
“I don’t think that’s possible because a third of that big core cast is gone,” the actor told the New York Post. “Jerry Stiller was such an amazing part of [our] show. To me, it would be hard to do it without him, and I don’t know how that would work. [THE KING OF QUEENS] was a moment in time, and that was just so great, and I miss it and loved it — but it might be hard to get that back again.”
Remini agreed, telling Us Weekly the following year that “it would be hard to do a show like that without Jerry Stiller.”
Only time will tell if a KING OF QUEENS reboot or other special event is coming our way!
