Christian singer-songwriter Katy Nichole tops the charts and appears on magazine covers, but for the artist, it’s all about inspiring her listeners to grow closer to God.
“I’m so honored to be on the cover of CCM Magazine, and if even one girl sees this and feels inspired to use her gifts for God, that means everything to me,” Nichole, the magazine’s November cover star, said.
She added, “I want to inspire the next generation, just like many of the artists that have been on the cover inspired me. God can use all of our voices for Him.”

In a statement about the November issue, CCM co-editor Amanda Sekulow praised Nichole’s “extraordinary vocal and songwriting talent,” as well as her “brilliant and hilarious personality.”
“She’s unlike anyone we’ve ever worked with in the best way. Katy can move you to tears one moment and have the whole room laughing the next, and that energy radiates through every part of this story,” she continued.
Co-editor Logan Sekulow added, “When ‘In Jesus Name’ first came out, it was one of those songs that reignited our family’s passion for Christian music. We watched how it impacted our children and reminded us why this music matters so deeply. We’re incredibly proud to have Katy as our next cover story and to champion her genre-blending second record, Honest Conversations.”
Nichole spoke in detail about her new album, Honest Conversations, in her interview with CCM, sharing, “I started writing those songs right after I released the first album. ‘When I Fall’ [the album’s first single] was the catalyst that led us into what Honest Conversations is all about, and the message I really wanted to bring to people was that honest conversations with yourself, with others and with God lead to healing.”
“By the end of the record, I felt like I was saying, ‘My healing journey hasn’t ended, but I’ve started healing now,’” she continued. “Healing is something that you’ll do for the rest of your life until we reach eternity. That’s when we’re ultimately healed…We have to trust the process and continue to follow Jesus in it.”
Nichole announced Honest Conversations earlier this summer, saying in a statement, “My hope for this album is that it meets you where you’re at and reminds you that you don’t have to do this alone. If you have ever felt misunderstood, I hope these songs make you feel seen, if you have ever felt doubt, I hope this leads you to bring the good, the bad, and everything in between to God, and lastly, I hope these songs feel like a warm hug when you need it the most.”
“Honest conversations with yourself, with God and with others are the first steps towards healing. Thank you for being part of this journey with me, I pray you find God as you listen to these songs,” she concluded.
With the release of her second album, Nichole is becoming a bona fide superstar, but, as always, her focus is on connecting with her listeners and encouraging them in their faith.
