Former Ohio State tight end Gee Scott Jr. joined CBN News to discuss the revival happening in the Buckeyes organization.

“It’s been an undeniable, evident move of the Lord Jesus Christ. You know, it’s one thing that has been seen externally, but I was able to be a part of and help witness the internal and see the actual effects of the Lord moving through this team,” Scott Jr. said in the interview. “Not only was He working in this team, but He was evidently able to work through this team and reach people across campuses as well.”

Scott described what’s going on in the Woody Hayes Athletic Center.

“I’ve had that question asked to me many times, and there’s an answer to that question that I don’t think is often answered — and the answer is, I don’t know. Sometimes the Lord chooses to grace a certain area. He chooses to make His presence evident and undeniable, and I think that’s exactly what He did on campus,” Scott said.

“What made it so tangible and even thick across the locker room was not only was it something we spoke about, but guys were actually able to witness the life transformation that only the Lord Jesus Christ can do,” he continued. “There were things that were undeniable in what you were able to see in your teammates. We believe that you overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of your testimony. And there were guys on this team expressing their testimonies over and over again.”

“There were just some things you can’t deny. Like, ‘Hey, I knew you two years ago — this wasn’t you.’ There was a work of something that took place, and the fruit you’re bearing right now is not of what any man can give you,” he added. “It’s only something the Spirit can give — the fruit of the Spirit. And so I think by our testimonies and what we were able to see in and through people, it was really a ripple effect of encouragement, like, ‘Man, God really may be real.'”

That revival has continued as former Buckeyes players like TreVeyon Henderson, Emeka Egbuka, C.J. Stroud and more enter the NFL.

Henderson, the current New England Patriots running back, shared several photos from his breakthrough game last week on Instagram. He scored all three of the Patriots’ touchdowns, helping bring his team to 9-2 on the season.

“I’m thankful that God’s love for me doesn’t depend on my performance. That my value is found in who I am to Him, not in what I do,” Henderson wrote in the caption.

He then included Ephesians 1:4-7:

Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins.

Without a doubt, God’s move within the Buckeyes football team has started a revival that’s spreading to the NFL.
