Evangelist Bryce Crawford isn’t here to do Christian lite, and he doesn’t want fellow believers to either.
“I’ve been burdened with sincerely following Jesus,” Crawford told Madison and Grant Troutt on the “Stay True” podcast. “We sing songs like ‘Is anyone worthy to open the scroll and break the seal?’ And all these college students my age will open their hands and smile and sing that song.”
“They don’t understand that they’re asking God to stop time and space, return and judge them where they stand,” he continued. “And I don’t think people would sing that song if they knew what they were singing.”
The podcaster points to the gravity of Jesus’ Second Coming and how the church is called to be the spotless bride.
“He’s not going to open the doors, and the bride that He’s come for is not going to be drinking beer and kissing another spouse,” Crawford said.
The Louisiana native called on the church to be “awake and ready” and understand what it means to truly follow Christ.
“I just want to make sure that every person I come in contact with, I’m not just trying to convert stat cards, so I can go home and show people how many people got saved,” he said.
Crawford continued, “I want to let people know what they’re in for. It’s going to cost you something to follow this guy, but it’s worth it.”

What drives Crawford’s passion for radical faith is how he radically came to Christ nearly five years ago at a Waffle House on Christmas. Plagued with anxiety and depression for years, he felt like the “only way to get the pain to go away” was to end his life. He planned to eat at his favorite restaurant for what was to be his last meal, but God intervened.
“No one shared the Gospel with me. No one told me about Jesus. The Spirit of God supernaturally encountered me with love and truth,” Crawford posted on Instagram with him in front of the Waffle House where he made his life-altering decision. “He wrapped me in the biggest hug of love my broken heart had wanted.”
“He’s my best friend, my dad, my everything…4 years ago, instead of taking my life I gave it to someone who wanted it,” the post read.
The 22-year-old is taking his podcast to Australia, New Zealand and US next year for the “I Love Jesus” tour.
In a statement promoting his tour he wrote,“This spring, the live podcast show is coming to cities across the nation, so we can come together, lift up the name of Jesus, and remind ourselves where true hope is found.”
