Chris Tomlin released a new song to start the year as a part of his four-track “Jesus Saves” EP.

“So great to get to go back to Highlands College – America’s Ministry Leadership University – to record ‘Jesus Saves’ with The Birmingham Youth & Young Adult Fellowship Choir…What a special Moment,” Tomlin shared on Instagram, highlighting the version of the song with vocals backed up by the choir. “This song is out now on all platforms – go give it a listen!”

The chorus proclaims:

Jesus saves, Jesus saves
His mercy came running

When I called His name
What a wonderful Savior
What a beautiful grace
I was dead, now I’m alive
I testify that Jesus saves

Tomlin’s career spans more than 20 years. He has consistently released chart-topping worship songs that have become anthems for the church. In the fall of 2023, for example, his song “Holy Forever” sat atop the Christian charts for months, his 21st song to do so. Rather than take the credit for himself, Tomlin attributed the feat to others.

“I have had the great honor of receiving many awards and accolades, commemorating different achievements throughout my career…But today is different,” Tomlin said during a celebration event that also highlighted him having been atop the charts for three years total. “As we sit here celebrating this remarkable milestone, it is not lost on me that to have this kind of longevity and impact is directly attributed to a long-term partnership with the same record label, Capitol Christian Music Group.”

“So while today is intended to celebrate 21 #1 songs…I wanted to take the moment and put the spotlight on this 20+ year partnership with Capitol, the entire team, and each person who has made all this possible,” he continued.

Meanwhile, Tomlin continues to tour the country, bringing electric concerts to Christians across America as he helps them connect with the Lord and see His great power. His annual Good Friday concert regularly pulls tens of thousands of attendees and sets records almost every year.

“All over the earth this past weekend the church gathered to remember the cross and to celebrate the hope of the resurrection… life over death,” he said in 2024 after breaking the attendance record at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville. “Thank you to everyone who joined us for Good Friday Nashville locally and to those who joined us digitally worldwide. Thank you to the large team who made this record breaking night happen. To Anne Wilson, Kari Jobe, Lainey Wilson, Cody Carnes, and Willie Robertson thank YOU for giving your time and talents to make Good Friday Nashville an impactful night of worship and remembering. God was truly present.”

Praise the Lord for Tomlin’s continued commitment to sharing the goodness of the Lord through songs that help millions connect with God. “Jesus Saves” is available now.
