Jen Lilley gushed all about the upcoming Jimmy Stewart biopic, her new devotional and her possible return to the Hallmark Channel.
Lilley has been in several Hallmark and Great American Family movies and loves being a part of the cheerful projects.
“I don’t think they’ve seen the last of me, but we’ll see,” she said of Hallmark. “I absolutely love making them. They bring joy to people, especially during tough seasons in their lives. People go to Hallmark to escape.”
One of the Teddy Bear Award® winner’s latest projects is a recently released devotional called Wake Up Your Faith.
“I felt strongly that the Lord wanted me to wake up the church that’s gotten a little too cozy,” she said. “We live in a hurt, divided world and sometimes, church becomes a social club and we say we believe, but we don’t act on it. We need to BE the love.”

“When I got asked to write a 365 devo, I said no,🤣 but God,” Lilley recounted in an Instagram post. “As I sat in prayer with the daunting task, worship music blaring, knowing if I was going to do this, mine was going to be different. Wake Up Your Faith has monthly themes so that you’ll go from hitting the Spiritual snooze button to FULLY awake in one year (or less!) I cannot wait to walk alongside you each day!!”
Lilley plays Gloria Stewart, Jimmy Stewarts wife, in JIMMY, the upcoming biopic of his life.
“It felt very redemptive because I’d walked through a two-year period of the Lord just shaking away at everything that could be shaken in my life, even things I loved,” she said of getting the role. “God cleared my deck, and it wasn’t easy, but it was like He was saying, ‘Hey, I have to take all these things from you, because I have other things for you to do.'”
“And I love this movie,” she continues. “It was so well written, so beautifully made and the acting is amazing. KJ [Apa] is amazing, and I cannot believe the cast they were able to swing!”
She’s in awe of Stewart’s story as an American hero.
“He really was every man. He was third-generation military and wanted to serve his country in World War II, but MGM made him dodge the draft,” she told Woman’s World. “He fought for the right to fight, and then fighting left him with PTSD.”
“When you watch IT’S A WONDERFUL LIFE knowing that, the story of George Bailey hits so hard,” she adds. “You realize this is Jimmy’s story. He lived a tremendous life and even though he’s a multi-Academy Award winning actor, he was so down to earth.”
As a mom of four, Lilley relates with her character, Gloria.
“She was pretty and powerful in a maternal way, so she could take the reins but still be very loving. They said, they were having a hard time finding that, so I was very excited to play her,” she said.
“And of course, I got to wear this adorable 1940s bathing suit, we fly off in this cute 1940s plane, and you see the boys in that era,” she added. “It was just such an incredible experience, through and through.”
The Jimmy Stewart biopic, titled JIMMY, will hit theaters on Nov. 6, 2026.
