The Marrs family just welcomed a very special new addition: Sally-Sue the puppy.
The sweet pup was a surprise birthday gift for HGTV star Jenny Marrs. In a video post to Instagram, the family shared details of the special day.
“Charlotte Marrs, where are we heading right now?” Jenny’s husband Dave asked his daughter as they rode in the car. Charlotte responded, “We’re going to pick up a puppy. She’s so cute.”
As they drove, Dave continued, “It’s going to be good. Hopefully she’s going to be cute. She was the runt of the litter, so she needs a special home, which is Jenny and Charlotte and the Marrs family.”
The video jumped to later in the day after they had picked up the adorable puppy.

“She’s the runt, but she is growing like crazy, giving Charlotte kisses,” Dave said as Charlotte held the cute brown dog. “We are headed home to give Jenny Marrs her birthday present.”
When Dave and Charlotte entered their home, Jenny was overwhelmed to the point of tears as she held the puppy.
“I named her Sue…because we had to give her a name,” Charlotte said.
People in the comment section loved seeing the sweet moment and wished the FIXER TO FABULOUS star a happy birthday.
“So sweet of them! Happy Birthday Jenny,” one person said. Another fan added, “She is adorable. She will be a handful and so much fun! Love your show. One of my favorites!”
It’s an extra special moment for the Marrs family after the death of their family dog, Dolly, last summer.
“The pain is too raw right now to properly convey how much Dolly has meant to our family,” Jenny said in July. “She was our family. She will never be forgotten. The tears we’ve shed are insignificant compared to the joy she gifted us with. We would say yes a thousand times over despite the inevitable heartbreak of goodbye. She was absolutely worth it.”
Shortly after Dolly’s death, Jenny reflected on a time she and her family comforted a man going through the same thing.
“I happened upon an old post today. Almost 10 years later, as our family continues to walk in the sorrow of saying goodbye to our Dolly… this one hit home in a fresh way and I thought it was worth sharing again,” she wrote.
The previous post described how the family met a man at the vet who was about to have his dog put down.
“I gently offered my deepest condolences,” Jenny recalled. “For the next fifteen minutes, my littles and I had the great privilege of hearing this man’s stories-we learned about his best friend. He was saying goodbye after fourteen years together. He spoke with a cracked voice and tears flowed freely from each of us. I prayed with him and we shared hugs and more tears. It was time. He walked slowly into the back room after one last hug.”
As the Marrs family celebrates this new addition, we rejoice along with them!
