Anne Wilson took a moment to reflect on her life in this New Year.

In a video posted to Instagram, the Christian singer and songwriter shared her “ins” and “outs,” meaning what things she wants to focus on this year and what she wants to leave behind.

“My ‘ins’ would be more time with Jesus, being like content where He has me and not searching for more, but just being very content with where he has me in the moment,” she explained in a video that featured her making cookies.

When it comes to her “outs,” less screen time was the first thing that came to mind.

“Then I would say my ‘outs’ would be less time on my phone, for sure,” she said. “One of my ‘outs’ would be to, like, continue to let go what people think about me.”

Wilson then shared a biblical principal that she is trying to focus of right now.

“My word right now is ‘Be still’. ‘Be still and know that I’m God,’” she continued, referencing Psalm 46:10 which says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

The country singer continued, “I think that word kind of applies to a lot of different aspects of my life right now, personal and career, but I would say that’s the word right now is to be still and know that He is God, that He has me in that, that I’m good.”

She then took a moment to encourage her viewers.

“For those that feel like you need God to carry you in this season, I would say that you need to fully rely on Him and His goodness. He will be there for you to carry you through all that you need Him to and trust Him. Put your faith in Him and He’s gonna get you through it,” Wilson said.

People in the comment section appreciated the encouragement.

“You’re such an inspiration Anne! Love this and appreciate the amazing work you’re doing!” one fan said. Another person added, “Absolutely beautiful love this Anne and I hope you have a blessed year!”

Wilson shared some more New Year’s encouragement on Jan 1. In a video, she sings her song “Rain in the Rearview.”

“What was heavy this year doesn’t have to define you in 2026. You can leave the rain in the rearview,” she wrote in the caption.

Whatever 2025 held for you, 2026 can be a beautiful year of bringing good things “in” and leaving negativity “out.”
