“Weigel Broadcasting’s Catchy Comedy Network celebrates the timeless and beloved series of the legendary TV pioneer Lucille Ball with ‘Catchy Loves Lucy,’ a brand-new, weekly programming block dedicated to the heart and humor of America’s favorite queen of comedy,” a press release announced.
It continued, “For the first time in television history, all five of her iconic series are united in one exclusive collection, along with TV movies, specials and original interviews with her daughter, the veteran award-winning actress and producer, Lucie Arnaz. Every Sunday, viewers will enjoy a deep dive into the genius of Lucille Ball.”

These series include the iconic I LOVE LUCY, sitcoms THE LUCY SHOW, HERE’S LUCY and LIFE WITH LUCY, plus THE LUCY AND DESI COMEDY HOUR, a collection of one-hour TV specials.
The exclusive interviews with Lucie Arnaz, performer and daughter of Ball and Desi Arnaz, will share “personal reflections on her mother and father’s groundbreaking careers, the cultural impact of the series and her family’s extraordinary television legacy — accompanied by rarely seen personal home movie footage and more.”
In one interview, obtained by Parade, Arnaz spoke about the first time her parents met, rehearsing for the musical comedy TOO MANY GIRLS.
“They were all going out that night, and they sat together at a little table in the corner and started to get to know one another,” she shared. “And they were not apart from that moment on.”
In addition to her noteworthy work as a comedian and actress, Ball was also a major force in the world of television production. In fact, her Desilu Productions was behind classic shows like MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE and STAR TREK.
“Desilu was the only studio that would take it,” Gene Roddenberry, creator of STAR TREK, told Woman’s World.
Marc Cushman, author of the These Are The Voyages non-fiction trilogy, a series of books exploring the making of STAR TREK, explained how Ball was instrumental in the decision for the studio to make the sci-fi show.
“Lucy says, ‘We need to get more shows on the air,’ and STAR TREK was the one she took on, because she thought it was different,” he said. “She thought if this thing catches on, it could run in reruns forever and that’s going to be money coming in to Desilu.”
Learn more about Ball’s life and legacy with “Catchy Loves Lucy,” premiering Sunday, Feb. 15, at 7 p.m. ET/4 PT.
