Designer Nicole Curtis pulled REHAB ADDICT from HGTV back in July, but now the show will make a comeback.
HGTV announced the surprise in a social media post on Feb. 9.
“Surprise, surprise!” HGTV announced. “@detroitdesign returns this Wednesday with back-to-back episodes of #RehabAddict starting at 12 pm ET on HGTV 🫡”
It showed a clip from one of the upcoming episodes, in which Curtis is seen continuing her work on the historic Doris House in Detroit.
“This is exactly my nightmare in old homes,” Curtis says in the clip as she inspects a cobweb-filled space. “There are like, these weird little rooms.”
She continues, “I never want to be surprised. The fact that we already had squatters in here…I never want to be in a house where there [are] secret rooms and people are in them.”

Curtis announced the episodes on Feb. 8.
She said, “Straight from Detroit — the new episodes drop Wednesday…was told now or never – so you get them now. And can you do me a huge show of support by sharing this. Sending it to friends, tag a friend, a stranger ❤️”
In July, she explained why her show was pausing, saying, “Here’s what is going on…I made the executive decision to shelf the rest of our new shows until Fall. I appreciate your support and understanding for the late notice.”
“It’s just a lot of hours (my hours) to get a show on air and we (my family +me) thought -why are we giving up summer when we have the ability to do this in the Fall ?”
“Thank you to the powers at be at HGTV that were receptive to our idea. Third, without a doubt, I, truly, am beyond happy with this decision as I just spent the day with a phone that was dead and had no worries about it 😀,” she wrote.
Even though fall rolled around, the episodes still hadn’t aired.
On October 23, Curtis posted, “I promised you the episodes in Fall. It’s still Fall. I had a really great network call today and I was asked the same question -where’s the shows?”
“I recut them. So, I’m in post getting them put back in the hopper that puts them on air. This is unheard of, typically, because production is production and talent is talent and no one would spend money when they don’t have to. However, I’m the talent and I am the production and I rewatched these and thought -I have a different idea now.”
So, she reshot some episodes.
“I’m in the process of delivering the new ones and I’ve been here a long time-no one puts Rehab Addict on the Bingo Card til you, actually, get word from me that it’s a winnable bet to schedule aka wait for me to hand deliver the episodes as I want them ❤️” she said.
New episodes started dropping yesterday, Feb. 11, and fans are excited that they’re are finally here.
“I’M SO EXCITED TO WATCH!!!!” one person wrote.
Another said, “Wonderful news! Can’t wait to see Nicole and her REHAB ADDICT team back at work in Detroit! 😊❤️”
It’s not clear how many episodes we’re getting, but fans will be grateful for whatever they can get!
