Christian artist Chris Tomlin says everyone has a choice to make.
“We have the choice…to worship God as our king and I’m choosing that,” Tomlin shared in an Instagram video this week. Tomlin will also lead 10th Annual Good Friday Worship Event this weekend in Nashville.
“As we enter Holy Week, I pray we each choose to worship Jesus as our King,” he added in the caption. “So excited for this Friday… a powerful night of worship at Good Friday Nashville year 10. If you can’t make it in person, you can still be part of it… We will be broadcasting live on K-LOVE and Air1!”
The proceeds from the Good Friday Nashville event will support children in foster care, according to the event’s website.

Tomlin said in 2022, “Seeing different people with different resources come together to do this is so special…. One effort, on Good Friday, sharing this message. Sharing the hope and the love of God with people.”
“Good Friday is a moment to remember the cross and what Jesus has done,” Tomlin said. “Every year, it’s a time to pause and remember the grace of God. Remember the hope that we have. Life over death.”
In another post about Holy Week this week, Tomlin explained in a video that Jesus is never caught by surprise when we doubt or have questions.
“A reminder to bring Jesus your questions, doubts, and struggles this week,” he wrote in the caption. “That’s what I love about worship… you don’t have to have it all together. Just show up, lay it down, and He meets us there.”
Tomlin is an ideal artist for Good Friday Nashville, considering he has many songs about the resurrection. A few of them are: “He Lives,” “Resurrection Power,” “I Will Rise,” “The Wonderful Cross,” “You Are My King (Amazing Love)” and “At The Cross (Love Ran Red).”
AMERICAN IDOL Season 24 contestant Hannah Harper just sang Tomlin’s “At The Cross (Love Ran Red)” for its “Songs of Faith” episode. Prior to that, she sang, “Ain’t No Grave” by Bethel Music & Molly Skaggs.
Tomlin told Harper on his Instagram story, “Hi @Hannah Harper, you sounded amazing last night. At The Cross… so honored you would choose that one to sing…God bless you.”
After her “At The Cross (Love Ran Red)” performance, Hannah shared, “Another night of worship and I’m still just… overwhelmed. The Spirit was THICK in that room tonight.
Thank each and every one of you who took the time to vote for me it truly means more than I could ever put into words.”
She added, “Psalm 34:3 ‘Glorify the Lord with me; let us exalt His name together.’ 🤍”
Happy Easter!
