Perez Hilton is “filled with the Holy Spirit” as he continues to recover from severe sepsis.
“I am free!!! God is SO GOOD!” he captioned an Instagram post. “My picc line — which was giving me continued IV treatment after being released from the hospital — was just removed!! ALL THE INFECTION INSIDE OF ME IS GONE!!!!!”
Hilton continued, “I am filled with the Holy Spirit, love and soooooo much gratitude!!!”

The blogger recently shared how his 21-day hospitalization led him to discover faith.
“My stupidity landed me in the hospital for 21 days,” Hilton said in a YouTube video, explaining that, after neglecting to eat food while taking medication, he developed a serious case of sepsis.
“One of the most special things about this experience is that God presented Himself to me,” he continued. “It was not a feeling. God presented Himself to me. And I grew up Catholic. I was baptized, had my communion, confirmed, went to Jesuit school for 7 years — but I was never a believer until now.”
Hilton said the moment was “miraculous” and “has been life-changing” for him.
“I had my heart open before. I wanted to believe, and [now] I don’t have to hope to believe. I know now. So, that’s amazing,” he concluded, “Every day, I will be grateful to God.”
He also warned viewers not to make the same mistake he made, telling them it should serve as a “cautionary tale.”
“Take medication with food. That’s very important,” Hilton said. “Take medication with food. Don’t have it on an empty stomach. Don’t end up like me in the hospital for 21 days.”
He has been keeping fans updated on his recovery process. In one recent Instagram video, Hilton said, “I’m so grateful to you for watching, and so grateful to God, and my doctors, and my nurses, and my mom, and my sister, and my kids.”
“I’m just filled with so much gratitude and love,” he continued. “Thank you for the support. It means more than you will ever know.”
In another post, Hilton shared his gratitude for his mother’s presence as he recovers.
“Swipe left to see Momma Perez’s new Easter mani!!!” he wrote under a photo of his mother. “My sweet angel of a mother, my rock, had not gotten her nails done in two months. She was at the hospital with me every single day! Life threw us a major curve ball. But I’m getting stronger every day!”
