HBO’s HARD KNOCKS series will follow Super Bowl 2026’s Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots to their summer training camps in upcoming seasons.

“This will be the first time that the Seahawks will be featured in the series, and it will be the first time, since the show’s inception in 2001, that the series will follow a reigning Super Bowl champion,” the Seattle Seahawks reported of their appearance on the behind-the-scenes NFL show.

The five-episode season focused on the Seahawks will air on Aug. 11.

Their 2026 Super Bowl rivals, the New England Patriots, are slated for a 2027 appearance in the TV series.

According to the New England Patriots, “The NFL announced Monday at its annual league meeting that the Patriots are slated to appear on the long-running documentary series during training camp in the summer of 2027.”

When head coach Mike Vrabel heard the news, he simply said he “Can’t wait.”

It’s perfect timing for the Patriots as they have “reemerged as one of the league’s most compelling stories under Vrabel and quarterback Drake Maye. New England’s unexpected run to Super Bowl LX reestablished the team’s national profile and made it an attractive candidate for NFL Films,” the Patriots reported.

The latest season of HARD KNOCKS featured teams from the NFC East, which include the New York Giants, Philadelphia Eagles, Dallas Cowboys and the Washington Commanders.

HARD KNOCKS: TRAINING CAMP, meanwhile, focuses primarily on one team only, giving viewers back-stage access to the team during one of the hardest weeks of the year.

“HARD KNOCKS debuted in 2001 as an NFL Films production for HBO, following a team through training camp as they prepare for their upcoming season,” Touchdown Wire explained. “It has often been described as the first sports-based reality series and has aired 26 seasons since its debut. In recent years, an in-season set of episodes has aired alongside the training camp feature, typically featuring different franchises. The franchise for the 2026 in-season set of episodes was not announced.”

In other football news, it looks like Netflix’s QUARTERBACKS series will return for Season 3, Sports Business Journal said.

The docuseries, co-produced by NFL Films, Patrick Mahomes’ 2PM Productions and Omaha Productions, followed Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota during its first season. Season 2 featured Cousins, Jared Goff and Joe Burrow. Season 3 QBs have not yet been announced.

Whether its an up-close look at top-tier quarterbacks or seeing two of the NFL’s most compelling franchises step into the spotlight, football fans can’t wait for all the behind-the-scenes content about the personalities that define championship-caliber football.
