WITLESS PROTECTION

What You Need To Know:

WITLESS PROTECTION stars Larry the Cable Guy as Deputy Larry Stalder, a country lawman who is smarter than he seems. Larry wants to become a federal lawman, but previous efforts have failed. While hanging out with his friends and his waitress girlfriend, Connie, in the local diner, he sees a beautiful city girl accompanied by men in suits and dark glasses. He thinks they might be kidnappers, so he kidnaps the girl, whose name is Madeline. Larry discovers the men are indeed FBI agents and Madeline is the only witness against her former boss, a crooked businessman named Arthur Grimsley. Even so, Larry keeps the girl, because he believes the FBI agents are not following procedure. They must be crooked, he thinks. Larry’s suspicions turn out to be true. He fakes Madeline’s death and infiltrates Grimsley’s circle to find a computer disk supporting her testimony.

WITLESS PROTECTION is filled with crude humor, including vulgar references to sex, body parts and bodily functions. Despite all the stupidity, there are some intelligent moments where Larry displays his detective abilities and outwits the bad guys. Those moments are few and far between, however.
