How an AI Short Film Tells Jesus’ Story of Salvation in Just 11 Minutes

An AI short film, THE REAL STORY OF CHRISTMAS, shares, as the title suggests, the Christmas story. But rather than leaving Jesus in the manger, producer Steve Cleary wanted to communicate the entire salvation story in just 11 minutes.

“Well, it definitely was a challenge,” Cleary said of how difficult it was to tell Jesus’ story in such a short amount of time. “And, you know, all of our scripts with the productions we do really hold to the Bible, so we’re not building a story that what might have happened. I mean, obviously, the visuals have to be interpreted, and how we feel it could have happened, but the script holds to scripture. We merge the four gospels together. Most of the Christmas story is found in Luke, but looking at what the whole Bible says about it and then also, we’re like, ‘Where do you end the Christmas story?'”
The Christmas story extends beyond the stable.
“The story of Christmas, I think we watch Hallmark, we watch TV, and it’s Jesus born in a stable wrapped in swaddling cloths, right? But it’s not. It’s the whole story of God giving his only son for salvation. The story of Christmas is actually the story of salvation,” the producer explained.
