BLACK PANTHER Actress Shares How God Brought Her Into His Light

BLACK PANTHER actress Letitia Wright released her 3-day YouVersion bible reading plan called “Overcoming.”
“In the midst of darkness. In YouVersion’s promo video, Wright shared how God brought her out of darkness and into His light.
“[My friend] was just talking to me he’s just like, ‘God told me to call you and tell you that you’re not in a good place. I can tell you about Jesus and His spirit [that] set me free so I’m just sharing it with you.’ And in that sentence was like the interest just clicked and he gave me Matthew 6:33.”
The glitz and the glam of fame and professional success didn’t satisfy Wright, but the Bible did.
“The gospels are just my favorite,” said Wright. “Like literally all of those you know amazing red letters are just you know so impactful and just brought life to me.”
As Wright continues to act, she wants to practice godly humility.
Wright previously told The Hollywood Reporter, “My aim is just to remain as humble and as godly as I can be. Because for me it’s still another day at the office, like it’s just a role that I’m a vessel for.”
In the same interview, Wright added, “My only hope is that it can just allow me to do more roles and more projects that people can like and I can continue to contribute to the world in a positive way.”
