‘Grateful’: Cameron Mathison Signs Multi-Picture Deal With Great American Media

GENERAL HOSPITAL star Cameron Mathison has signed a multi-picture deal with Great American Media.

“Cameron Mathison is one of entertainment’s most prolific and cherished stars and has a resume that is respected across the industry,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, said in a statement. “Having collaborated with Cameron on many past projects, I am thrilled to welcome him home to Great American Media and look forward to working with him on content that our viewers will love for years to come.”

Mathison added, “It is very important to me to create well-crafted, beautiful stories. I am grateful to be back at Great American Media and to collaborate with some of the best creative teams in entertainment to make heartwarming content everyone can enjoy.

The ALL MY CHILDREN actor has previously appeared in Great American Family movies like A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH and A KINDHEARTED CHRISTMAS.

Part of the Movieguide® review of A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH reads:

A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH is a quaint, family-friendly Christmas movie, but it’s not high quality. The story is predictable and lacks a substantial plotline, meaning it drags, especially for older viewers. A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH promotes love, family, helping others, and small town values. However, it’s marred by Romantic, materialistic, secular values focusing on seeking self-fulfillment and happiness from one’s job, romantic relationships and even where one lives. Also, A MERRY CHRISTMAS WISH depicts Christmas from a secular perspective with no mention or reference Jesus or the biblical significance of his birth.

In a recent Instagram post, Mathison posed alongside fellow GAF stars Candace Cameron Bure, Danica McKellar and Lori Loughlin.

“Just me and three Queens of Christmas,” the actor wrote.

Bure commented, asking, “Question- have you been in ANY movie with one of the three of us?”

Fans quickly answered, pointing to Mathison and McKellar’s VERY VERY VALENTINE.

Mathison is also set to star in Hallmark’s upcoming Hannah Swensen Mystery, A ZEST FOR DEATH, alongside Alison Sweeney.

“The adventures of Hannah Swensen have long been a favorite among our viewers and we’re thrilled to bring them a new mystery they can try to solve at home along with Hannah,” said Elizabeth Yost, Hallmark’s Senior Vice President of Development. “Being able to reunite Alison Sweeney, Cameron Mathison and Barbara Niven for this latest installment makes it even sweeter.”
