Candace Cameron Bure took to Instagram to share some of her goals for the New Year and to encourage her followers for 2024.
“Happy New Year! We did it. 2024,” she said. “I’m really excited about a new year. I really am. I’m looking forward to it, and I thought I’d start my day off right by getting up and getting out and getting some exercise.”
In the caption, she shared that she went on a jog to “start my new year off right with energy, positivity and movement.”
“I just went on my first 30-minute run or jog, I should say. I haven’t jogged in a couple of years…I decided that I need to add cardio back into my routine, aside from my circuit cardio. Just something a little extra. So, I’ve committed myself to 2 days a week, getting between 20 and 30 minutes of jogging in, or some kind of cardio,” she said of her fitness goals.
Bure knows that sticking to New Year’s resolutions isn’t always easy.
“The reality is I’m in a beautiful place right now, and it’s really easy to go on a jog here, but that’s not going to be three days from now when I’m back at work, going to the office every day, waking up at 5 a.m. to fit in a workout before work,” she explained.
“I’m excited to see what 2024 has in store for us!” she added in the caption. “I’ll be here to encourage you in your fitness journey, your Bible reading journey, your TV watching journey and so much more.”
Bure also plans to participate in the Bible Recap, and she encouraged her followers to join her in reading the Bible in a year.
The actress also committed to reading her Bible in a year last year.
“If you haven’t started you can start today. You didn’t miss anything, you just start on day one, even if it’s not January 1st,” Bure said last year. “You’re never behind as Tara-Leigh says: ‘you’re right where God wants you to be.’”
The Bible Recap walks readers chronologically through the entire Bible in one year.
“It’s a short podcast/video (~8 minutes per day) and book (2 pages per day) by Tara-Leigh Cobble. She’ll highlight and summarize that day’s Bible reading in a casual, easy to understand way to not only help you read scripture but to love reading it,” the website shares.
“I highly encourage you to check out the Bible recap, because it’s changed the way I read the Bible, I love it totally is so encouraging and awesome,” Bure said.
