Candace Cameron Bure Prays ‘Every Day’ for Dave Coulier After Cancer Diagnosis

By Movieguide® Contributor

Candace Cameron Bure has been “praying every day” after former FULL HOUSE co-star and friend Dave Coulier announced his cancer diagnosis.

“A cancer diagnosis is so difficult. And it felt very devastating when Dave and Melissa [Coulier] called and let us all know personally before it went out to press,” she told Fox News. “But we know that the cancer that he has is very treatable. And many people have gone into remission for many, many years from that. So, you know, it was like the best diagnosis you can get from devastating news, in that sense. It feels very hopeful.”

Coulier announced his diagnosis earlier this month, telling fans he has B cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

“When I first got the news, I was stunned, of course, because I didn’t expect it, and then reality settled in and I found myself remarkably calm with whatever the outcome was going to be,” he told PEOPLE. “I don’t know how to explain it, but there was an inner calm about all of it…I’ve had an incredible life on a journey with incredible people around me and I’m okay. It does change perspective for sure.”

The FULL HOUSE actress has been relying on her faith during this time, telling the outlet, “I’ve been praying every day,”

“I told Dave and Mel, the best way I can support you is pray for you every day, because you know that my faith is strong,” Bure continued. “And I feel like that’s where my strength lies, in prayer. So I’ll be praying every single day.”

In addition to Bure, Coulier is also leaning on friend and former co-star John Stamos.

Stamos recently visited Coulier, telling people, “He cried, we laughed, we watched old movies and we told stories and I brought videos and it just was a beautiful thing.”
