Carlos and Alexa PenaVega to Co-Star in Great American Pure Flix Movie

Husband and wife duo Carlos and Alexa PenaVega will co-star in a new Great American Pure Flix movie.
The streamer’s new movie, MR. MANHATTAN, follows “Mason Bradley (Carlos PenaVega) [who] makes a promise to his brother and sister-in-law to be godfather to their newborn son (and future children). Mason has exciting news of his own: he’s just been accepted to Columbia Law School, which comes as a shock to his fiancé, Dani (Alexa PenaVega),” a summary reads.
“Ten years on, Mason is surround by big city life and obsessed with becoming partner in his firm,” the synopsis continues. “He and Dani have broken up. Just when Mason feels personal success is at hand, he receives an unimaginable call. His brother and sister-in-law have tragically been killed in a car accident. Mason is now a single father with two children.”
“Carlos and Alexa are audience favorites and so beloved for their commitment to family on and off the screen, which is the foundation of MR. MANHATTAN. And we are excited about a number of additional projects in development with these two enormously talented actors,” GAF CEO Bill Abbott said, per PR Newswire.
Great American Pure Flix announced the news on Instagram.
“We’re so excited to announce that @therealcarlospena and @vegaalexa will star in their first movie for Great American Pure Flix, MR. MANHATTAN, premiering on May 24th!” the streaming platform wrote.
Carlos commented, “We are so excited for this one and all that we have coming up with you guys! What a team! 👏🔥🔥❤️❤️”
Fellow GAF star Candace Cameron Bure wrote, “It’s a good one! You’re gonna enjoy it!!!”
MR. MANHATTAN is “executive produced by Michael Scott, Jeffrey Peterson, David A. R. White, Kendall Baldwin, and Jim Ameduri. Producer is Bradley Nasfell. Brian Herzlinger directs from an original screenplay by Andrea Gyertson Nasfell,” according to Deadline.

“If I’m working with another guy, I don’t know how much I can play around with him. I don’t know how much, like, okay, like if I ad lib is he going to be able to go back and forth with me or is he going to be kind of stuck.” She went on to say that other actors are like deer in headlights when she changes the lines and that listening is a crucial part of acting in a scene.
