The results are in! From exciting and inspiring movies and shows, to actors who gave incredible performances, Movieguide® honored faith-filled and family content at this year’s 33rd Annual Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala.

“These nominees demonstrate what audiences are hungry for: stories anchored in faith, virtue, and timeless values,” Robby Baehr, Movieguide® CEO, said of the content recognized by Movieguide®. “Faith-driven storytelling isn’t just meaningful, it’s powerful entertainment that resonates across generations. We’re honored to celebrate these films and the filmmakers who are bringing light to screens worldwide.”

THE LAST RODEO took home the prize for Best Movie for Families, while SARAH’S OIL earned the award for Best Movie for Mature Audiences.

“This film has an incredible heart with a universal message of love, vulnerability and reconciliation that the world so desperately needs right now,” THE LAST RODEO star Neal McDonough said of the movie’s message.

In the world of TV and streaming, TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY and RUTH & BOAZ were both recognized, winning the awards for Best Television/Streaming Program for Families and Best Television/Streaming Program for Mature Audiences, respectively.

Movieguide® also spotlit movies and TV shows that promoted faith and family. THE CHOSEN: LAST SUPPER — PART 2 was awarded the Epiphany Prize® for Inspiring Movies, while A CHRISTMAS PRAYER earned the Epiphany Prize® for Inspiring Television.

The Faith & Freedom Award® for Movies went to BAU: ARTIST AT WAR, which tells the incredible true story of an artist who survives a WWII concentration camp. The Faith & Freedom Award® for Television went to hit series HOUSE OF DAVID for Season 2 episode “The Truth Revealed.”

Individual actors and actresses were recognized for their work as well; Mykelti Williamson took home the Grace Award for Movies (Actor) for THE LAST RODEO, with SARAH’S OIL star Naya Desir-Johnson earning the Grace Award for Movies (Actress).

“It’s just really nice to be able to connect to some stories, because some stories, if you can’t really find them relatable, you start to lose interest,” Desir-Johnson told Movieguide® of her role as Sarah. “I want them to be fully engrossed, and not just say, ‘Oh, this is just a regular movie.’ No, this is about a person who got threatened, who had faith and love and community, and she knew what she was doing.”

In television, HOUSE OF DAVID’s Michael Iskander won the Grace Award for Television (Actor), while Natasha Bure Perry took home the Grace Award for Television (Actress) for her work in TIMELESS TIDINGS OF JOY.

Movieguide® also recognized its founder, Dr. Ted Baehr, with the Visionary Award™ for Furthering Entertainment with Faith & Values.
