Christian author Dan Burke was just released from a hospital stay and credits prayer for his recovery from coronavirus.
The popular author has had a lifelong battle with a lung condition and knew this virus could be deadly if he got it.
Burke told Fox News that he remembered telling his son, “If I get it, that will be it for me,” referring to COVID-19.
On March 17, Burke and his wife, Stephanie, headed to the hospital as they both were experiencing symptoms common to the virus. They both tested positive.
Burke said, “I have been hospitalized more times than I can count. However, this one was different. This was a deep and dark spiritual warfare.”
The author recalls finishing his will on the way to the hospital, and after saying what he and his wife thought would be their final ‘I love you,’ he was put on a ventilator.
However, to their surprise, Burke was strong enough to be taken off the ventilator three days later, and headed home to finish his recovery on March 27.
“I know I’m alive because of your prayers,” Burke shared in a Facebook Live video on Sunday. “There’s no way I should have come out of that ICU.”
Along with the prayers of thousands around the world, Burke says that his most recent book, “Spiritual Warfare and the Discernment of Spirits’ helped him win this battle.
“I am grateful that I have studied and lived this reality so deeply before facing this kind of storm.”
Please pray for continued healing for the Burkes.
