Colton Dixon, Angel Studios Team Up for SIGHT Soundtrack

Colton Dixon has released his latest single, “Rest of My Life,” a track off of the soundtrack for Angel Studios’ upcoming SIGHT.
“When I first heard ‘Rest of My Life,’ I instantly knew it was a fit for the film’s epilogue,” Ryan Svendsen, Angel Studios Head of Music, said of the song. “It is extremely rare for the spirit and lyrics of a song to be an uncanny match for a scene but the stars aligned beautifully with Colton’s track for SIGHT. We are honored to have Colton’s uplifting music bring out this important moment and we know that this song will be a reminder of not only the film but of the miracle that we are not confined by the things that we can physically see.”
Dixon added, “Sometimes when you write a song, it takes on a life of its own. After I experienced the film and got to meet Dr. Wang in person, the lyrics and cadence of the song took on a whole new meaning. I can’t wait for this song and the film to impact the world in a powerful way.”
A synopsis of SIGHT describes the movie as, “The riveting true story of Dr. Ming Wang, a Chinese immigrant-turned-renowned eye surgeon who harnesses the pain of his past to try to restore the sight of a blind orphan.”
Director and writer Andrew Hyatt shared his passion for the project, saying, “I am humbled and thrilled to be a part of bringing Dr. Wang’s incredible true-life story to the screen. The universal themes of hope and endurance will undoubtedly resonate with audiences around the world. My grandmother grew up in Shanghai and to be able to honor her in some way by telling a story that echoes her own experience is a very special opportunity.”

Angel Studios announced the acquisition of SIGHT, the true story of Dr. Ming Wang, a Chinese immigrant who went on to become a renowned eye surgeon.
“Rarely have we seen the strength and resolve of Chinese-Americans shown in a powerful way on the big screen,” producer David Fischer said in a statement about SIGHT. “After spending years bringing SIGHT to life, Angel Studios is the perfect partner for audiences who want to be inspired by Dr. Wang’s story of hope, perseverance, and freedom.”

SIGHT will premiere in theaters May 24, 2024.
