Diversity Perversity: Hollywood’s Push for “Diversity” Overlooks Christians and Conservatives

Diversity Perversity:

Hollywood’s Push for “Diversity” Overlooks Christians and Conservatives

By Dr. Tom Synder, Editor

AVENGERS:  ENDGAME star Brie Larson has come into criticism recently for her attempts to turn her role in the movie, and the previous CAPTAIN MARVEL movie, into a political platform for “diversity.”

The day before ENDGAME opened its stratospheric first weekend, she told Variety she was pleased with the positive reactions she’s been getting from little girls about her “female superhero,” but also called for injecting transgender and homosexual characters into Disney/Marvel’s superhero universe.

“We gotta move faster,” Larson opined.

Larson’s comments show a politically correct, immoral, intellectually dishonest, understanding of the word diversity, but she wouldn’t be the first Hollywood celebrity to do so.

For example, whenever someone in Hollywood, or the “news” media, for that matter, discusses the need for diversity, they always neglect to say anything about ideological or political diversity. Heaven forbid if they utter ANY words of support for putting more Christian characters in movies and TV programs, or for putting positive references to Jesus or the Bible in such cultural artifacts. Also, has anyone ever seen any major movies or TV programs criticizing LGBTQ activists recently, much less condemning homosexual behavior or false, unscientific feminist, transgender memes claiming there’s no difference between men and women?

Sadly, most outspoken Hollywood celebrities only seem to be concerned about giving Muslims, homosexuals, radical feminists, socialist advocates, people confused about their biological sex, and certain races an equal, “fair” representation in the scripts being created by the entertainment industry. Their calls for “diversity” show a commitment to the Neo-Marxist ideology of the Radical Left that’s constantly attacking people who don’t share their politically correct radical chic. In fact, their Neo-Marxist ideology is engaged in an all-out assault on family values and property.

Of course, true “diversity” would mean many more movies and TV programs would include strong positive references to Jesus Christ and His Gospel. It would also mean there’s much more political diversity in our entertainment choices instead of the one-sided leftist ideology we see all too often in movies and TV, especially movies and TV programs trying to win Oscars and Emmys.

That said, there are three things that are much better than diversity:  Truth, Goodness and Beauty.

The evidence clearly shows that the Bible, especially the Divine Person of Jesus Christ and His teachings, perfectly reflects Truth, Beauty and Goodness. As Paul says in Galatians 5:6, “The only thing that counts is faith in Christ expressing itself through love.”

Paul’s definition of Christian love, however, doesn’t delight in sin or evil, but offers deliverance from sin and evil through the Divine Truth of Christ’s Gospel (1 Corinthians 13:6).
