The 2025 World Series was nothing short of amazing.

Even if the Blue Jays or the Dodgers weren’t “your team,” odds are you tuned into the games anyway because of the excitement.

Game 7 was no different, and for the eighth year in a row, the MLB World Series reached 26 million viewers, according to Deadline.

The statistic comes from “a combination of Nielsen Panel Only Fast Nationals and Adobe Analytics.”

The Dodgers’ Miguel Rojas scored in the top of the ninth, which sent the game into extra innings.

With a “go-ahead blast from Will Smith in the top of the 11th and the absurd extra work World Series MVP Yoshinobu Yamamoto provided on zero days’ rest, the Dodgers broke Toronto hearts with their comeback 5-4 victory in a game that merited its own month on the MLB calendar,” MLB reported.

To put the icing on the cake, the Dodgers not only secured the back-to-back World Series win, but Pitcher Clayton Kershaw ended his career with a World Series win.

“It’s hard to put into words, honestly,” Kershaw told the media after the game. “I’m just so grateful. The way that my career, this season, has ended has been more than I could have ever hoped for. I’m just a little bit speechless, a little bit shocked that we won this one tonight.”

Kershaw’s last win that he recorded was a picture-perfect night as he got to close out his career at Dodger Stadium.

“Have it be at Dodger Stadium, have it be the last one — you can’t script that either,” the pitcher said. “That’s so cool. I have to give [manager Dave Roberts] a lot of thanks for that, too, trusting me to do that. I’ve had a lot of ups and downs. So for him to continue to trust in me and trust me in those big moments, it means a lot.”

Yoshinobu Yamamoto earned the World Series MVP award as he pitched with zero days rest for the last two games of the World Series. In Game 6, Yamamoto pitched 96 balls to advance the Dodgers to Game 7.

“Before I went in, to be honest, I was not really sure if I could pitch up there to my best ability,” he said, per AP News. “But as I started getting warmed up, because I started making a little bit of an adjustment, then I started thinking I can go in and do my job.”

The Los Angeles Dodgers are the 2025 World Series Champions as Game 7 reached 26 million viewers, the highest for the eighth year in a row.
