Erin and Ben Napier Have Some ‘Bittersweet News’ About Their Family Home

By Movieguide® Contributor

A cottage that Erin and Ben Napier restored for Ben’s brother, Jesse, is now up for sale.

“There is some bittersweet news. One of our favorite houses we had the joy of renovating is on the market,” Erin wrote on Instagram Jan. 19.

The HOME TOWN stars have renovated over 100 homes in Laurel, Mississippi but this one has extra special meaning.

“There has been a lot of living done in the last 4 years in that green cottage,” Ben shared. “Christmases, family get togethers, new babies, last minute meals. I’ve had almost as many cups of coffee in their kitchen with my mom as I have in my own kitchen.”

“We will miss walking over on lazy Saturdays,” Ben said. “Mae used to call it her cussin’s house. Now it’s just Nell and Hank’s house, but it could be your house! If you buy it, you better be a good person who loves it.”

The Napiers renovated the home in Season 5 Episode 13, which aired in April 2021. They restored the post-war cottage for Jesse and his wife, Lauren, who were expecting their daughter, Nell. The Napiers announced they were also expecting their second baby, Mae.

The house has now grown too small for their family of four. Ben says they’re now “looking for more land!”

Erin added, “Ben’s little brother Jesse and his family are ready for more space, and a few acres to grow a big garden. gonna miss them being in town so much. praying a good family scoops it up.”

In another post, Erin said, “So many family dinners and play dates. They’re ready for life in the country with lots of land to grow a garden and watch their babies grow up roaming the woods. I won’t be able to look at this one vacant. 💔 Praying a great family who will love it like we all have finds the link in my stories!”

The house is currently listed for $275,000. In 2021, it was worth $200,000. The realtor shared a video of Jesse and Lauren giving a tour of their home:

Last February, Realtor reported two HOME  TOWN restored houses went up for sale. In Season 1, a family bought a unique multi-level home for $108,000. It was listed for over half their purchase price at $228,000. Season 3’s modernized 1870 two-story home went up for sale at $440,000.
