Fox News Anchor Shannon Bream Shares Scripture During Widespread Anxiety
By Tess Farrand, Associate Content Editor
Faith-filled Fox News anchor Shannon Bream keeps her eyes on Jesus as widespread anxiety plagues the world due to COVID-19.
“These are long days and the news is tough,” Bream told Faithwire. “So I really have to go to somewhere else, and someone bigger, who is not surprised by any of this and promises us refuge and protection.”
Bream, who’s working from home these days, shares scripture via social media to encourage her followers to lean into God’s truth.
For fans of Bream, this comes as no surprise since she has a knack for positivity. In 2019, Bream released her book Finding the Bright Side: Chasing the Art of What Really Matters.
Bream told Faithwire, “First thing I do when I get out of bed is I say a quick prayer, brush my teeth, and then I sit down.” Bream went on, “I read the Word, I journal, I get out all my fears and anxieties there on the page, try to pray through that, and just try to get equipped, because I know in my own strength, it’s not enough.”
Bream is also joining millions around the world in prayer for medical personnel on the front lines of COVID-19.
On this #NationalDoctorsDay we say thank you to true heroes, people who are literally on the frontlines bravely sacrificing for complete strangers. Thank you for your selfless dedication. We can never repay what all our medical workers are doing right now. Praying for you daily.
