‘Gift From the Lord’: Gospel Singer Kierra Sheard-Kelly Welcomes First Baby

Gospel singer Kierra Sheard-Kelly and husband Jordan Kelly have welcomed their first child together!
“We are blessed to introduce to you our gift from the Lord, Khloé-Drew Valencia Kelly,” Sheard-Kelly announced in an Instagram post. “Words can’t describe our journey and how God blessed us with our miracle child. After two miscarriages and life altering challenges, God gave us a gift to love and bring Him glory with our testimony. Thanks to so many of you who are congratulating us and covering us with genuine prayer and love.”
She then shared Psalms 127:3 — “Children are a gift from God; they are his reward.”
In another Instagram post, Sheard-Kelly wrote, “Walking into motherhood and it has already been an amazing journey. I’ll never forget how much my parents have, and still, impact my life.”
Sheard-Kelly previously shared news of her pregnancy with PEOPLE, saying, “I am so excited and blessed to have this opportunity to carry my prayer and watch our baby grow.”
The singer also revealed she had experienced two previous miscarriages that “took me near death’s doors.”
“God still showed me that He’s in charge, and to keep believing,” Sheard-Kelly said. “I’ve been fearful and have worried, but God has sent me constant reminders and ways of affirmation. My husband’s faith and declarations have stood in place of my lack many times.”
She continued, “He has encouraged me to know that I’m still loved, had we had this moment or not. Getting on one accord helps create our love child, and is growing us closer. I’ve downloaded faith-based books, prayed every morning over my womb and baby, and surrounded myself with a very supportive and prayerful community.”
“As a result, we are here seeing our prayers answered,” Sheard-Kelly concluded. “I’ve felt the presence of God in my womb, and it’s been one of the most promising moments I’ve had in my life.”
