Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson are set to star in Lionsgate and Kingdom Story Company’s next movie, ORDINARY ANGELS, set to release October 13.

According to Deadline, the movie “centers on Sharon Steves (Swank), a fierce but struggling hairdresser in small-town Kentucky who discovers a renewed sense of purpose when she meets Ed Schmitt (Ritchson), a widower working hard to make ends meet for his two daughters. With his youngest daughter waiting for a liver transplant, Sharon sets her mind to helping the family and will move mountains to do it.”

Actress Hilary Swank headlines cast members for Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate’s upcoming movie, ORDINARY ANGELS…

Jon Erwin, Andrew Erwin, and Kevin Downes will produce the project through their Kingdom Story Company. Previous Kingdom Story productions include AMERICAN UNDERDOG and THE JESUS MUSIC.

“Kingdom Story Company endeavors to bring inspiring true stories to life on screen. Ordinary Angels spotlights one family’s seemingly insurmountable struggles and the everyday people who helped them in remarkable ways,” Downes said. “Hilary Swank and Alan Ritchson bring to life this heroic example of how one person can change a family and how that changes a community and gives rise, quite literally, to life and to hope.”

Kingdom Story Company and Lionsgate are currently enjoying major box office success with their latest movie, JESUS REVOLUTION. Movieguide® previously reported:

JESUS REVOLUTION continues to prove that faith-centered movies do well at the box office as it marks Lionsgate’s highest-grossing domestic release since KNIVES OUT in 2019.

JESUS REVOLUTION has earned $39,453,451 at the domestic box office, surpassing the previous record holder, THE HITMAN’S WIFE’S BODYGUARD (2021), which made $38,014,727 domestically. KNIVES OUT (2019), a murder mystery movie, brought in $165,364,060 domestically…

The movie’s success as Lionsgate’s highest-grossing domestic release in three years shows that Christians will support entertainment that promotes and honors faith and family values.
