The fame of growing up in a famous family took its toll on Lola Sheen, but finding salvation in Christ changed everything.
As the daughter of actors Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, Sheen often encountered paparazzi, stalkers, rumors and other drama that comes with a life in Hollywood. Her life led her to a dark spot until God stepped in.
“I did not know who I was before I found Jesus,” she recently told Ally Yost on the “Christ With Coffee On Ice” podcast.
Just last year, Sheen reached a point where she was considering taking her life.
“I started to get really suicidal,” she revealed. “I remember there was this one night, and I was like I just don’t see myself coming out of this.”

“But I always felt something in my stomach. It was like a little light. I always felt something that was like keep going. And it was like I knew it was Jesus. And that happened like three days before I found him.”
One night when she was thinking about ending it all, she found herself scrolling on TikTok.
“One day, I was like on my phone, and this video of you came up,” she told Yost. “It was like you were looking in the camera… you’re wearing this red dress.”
She explained to the viewers, “Ally was like, she was crying into the phone, and you were saying something about…like being alive and you were like, ‘Hey, like, just don’t give up. Like, God has such a good plan for you…you’re meant to be here,’ and I remember I saw it was just like a light in your eyes.”
After seeing the video of Yost, God met Sheen in her room.
“I literally don’t know how to explain it other than like it literally was like Jesus came in my room, like His presence like filled my room. I’ve never felt the presence of God, but I knew that it was Him,” she recalled.
She added, “My room was filled with the Holy Spirit. And I remember just like I turned to my left and I was like my eyes were closed and I felt like Jesus just hugged me. It was like, I felt like warmth on my hand.”
Since then, she’s committed to sharing Christ with others.
“I wanted to tell everybody about Jesus and how He just saved my life,” she told the “Jesus Calling” podcast earlier this year. “I always heard Him say, ‘You’re going to help a lot of people.’ I felt such a calling on my life to just minister to people who have experienced depression and anxiety and to just help them and show them that you are never too far gone for Jesus.”
Sheen also hosts her own podcast called “The Heavenly Bonded Podcast” where she encourages others in their faith.
Sheen’s testimony is a beautiful example of Jesus’ words in Matthew 18:12: “If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them wanders away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one that wandered off?”
Praise God for the transformation Sheen has experienced!
