Jenny Marrs Endures Painful Medical Condition that Affects Her Work

By Movieguide® Contributor

While sharing a fun clip from Season 6 of FIXER TO FABULOUS, Jenny Marrs shared that she is suffering from a herniated disc which is affecting her ability to work.

During the clip, Marrs directs her husband Dave where to place a planter that weighs nearly 400 pounds after he has put the dirt in. She was unable to help with the move, however, because of her back injury.

“In my defence, I’m a visual person. I think I like something but I have to see it. Then, I realize I don’t. 🤪 And, I have a herniated disc (highly painful – I do not recommend) and so I can’t lift the planter,” she wrote in an Instagram post. “So, yes. Dave may have had to ‘scootch’ it a few times. Thankfully, @christylamers_blossom was on my side. 😆👏”

While the clip shared by Marrs was a light-hearted moment between her and her husband as she asked him to readjust the planter numerous times, this season is one of the heaviest in FIXER TO FABULOUS history. Just before Jenny and Dave began work on these homes, a tornado ripped through their town, causing major damage. Much of this season has, therefore, revolved around critical repairs along with aesthetic renovations performed by the couple.

“Our community is acutely aware of the devastating aftermath of a massive storm and these last homes of the season were all damaged – hence, why we are behind our production schedule,” Marrs revealed earlier this month. “The projects are bigger than we had originally planned because, well, when trees fall through your home, it’s a big undertaking to fix.”

In another interview, she revealed that they had to completely revamp the scope of one renovation after the destruction.

“We went from doing a kitchen, living room, and bedroom to completely renovating the entire house and bringing it down to the studs,” Marrs said. “There was a hole in the roof and a tree through it. That was one of several that were involved with the tornados. The tornadoes coming through really changed the season for us as far as the scale of projects.”

Season 6 of FIXER TO FABULOUS continues to premiere on HGTV with new episodes releasing every Tuesday.
