HGTV Star Reminds Fans God Can Use Them No Matter Their Age

Pulling from a Biblical example, HGTV star Jenny Marrs reminded her fans that God can use anyone at any age as long as they are willing to trust in His plan.
“‘Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three when they made their demands to Pharaoh’ (Exodus 7:7). I believe every word of Scripture is God-breathed and written down for a purpose. Here’s the thing, the age of Moses and Aaron could have been left out of the story of Exodus, but this one seemingly insignificant sentence is on the page for a purpose,” Marrs wrote in an encouraging Instagram post.
“As I read these words this morning, I thought of three distinct conversations I’ve had with friends in different seasons of life – all stepping out in faith. The circumstances are varied but they all share a common thread: God is asking them to do a new thing and they are listening,” Marrs continued. “For some reason, the only one who is confidently stepping forward without hesitation is the one in her thirties. The other two are slightly older and feel silly; they mistakenly believe their time has passed. This is not okay.”
Leaning into the strengths that can only come with age, Marrs explained why older people should be trusted by society rather than pushed aside.
“Our society tells us that we aren’t wise enough to be listened to when we are young and then we need to step quietly out of the way as we age because we have had our chance and God couldn’t possibly choose to use us now. That is a lie,” Marrs wrote. “God has a good plan for each of our lives. And, sometimes, He anoints us with our calling when we are a teenager, like David. Other times, He waits until we are eighty years old, like Moses.
“I don’t know who needs to hear this today but please remember this: you are not unqualified because you’re ‘too young’ and you are not counted out because ‘you’re too old,’” she added. “Just keep on running your race well because you are here – living and breathing, right now, this very day, at this exact point in history – for a purpose. 🤍”
Mars often encourages her fans through Biblical lessons she has found apply to her real life. It is amazing to see how she relates her faith to the events surrounding her to see how God’s word is alive today.

Marrs and her husband, Dave, can’t wait for the next season of their show FIXER TO FABULOUS to premiere. The couple announced they were in the middle of filming back in June.
“We don’t take any of this for granted – the fact that we get to do what we love, alongside a team of people we adore is an absolute gift. And, the fact that you all choose to watch the journey from your living rooms with your families is just something we’ll never fully wrap our head around. We are truly, truly grateful!!!! 🤍” Jenny wrote.
While no official release date has been announced, she added in the comments of that post that Season 6 will most likely drop in January.
Their faith inspires the Marrs family to keep bringing the show to fans. Jenny shared her prayer for last season:
Our prayer for this season continues to be that our show is a light in this dark world. The privilege of being invited into your living room each week is not one we take lightly and we sincerely hope you walk away each Tuesday inspired and encouraged to make your home a beautiful reflection of you and your family.
