Jeremy Renner Calls Upcoming Show ‘A Driving Force’ In Recovery

By Movieguide® Contributor

Jeremy Renner is getting ready for the premiere of his new show, RENNERVATIONS, and the actor calls it the “driving force” for his recovery after a near-fatal snow plow accident in January.

RENNERVATIONS is a four-part Disney+ show that, according to Fox News, “embraces Jeremy Renner’s lifelong passion to give back to communities around the world by reimagining unique purpose-built vehicles to meet a community’s needs.”

“I’ve been on this journey for many years, and I started in my community by building vehicles for people in need,” Renner said in a statement about the upcoming show. “But a few years ago, I thought: How can I plus this up and create a bigger impact on a whole community? And that’s what this show does.”

He continued, “This is one of my biggest passions and it’s a driving force in my recovery, and I can’t wait for the world to see it.”

RENNERVATIONS will premiere on Disney+ on April 12.

Movieguide® previously reported on the snow plow accident that crushed Renner’s chest and legs:

New details emerged from a recent police report from the snow plow accident that left Jeremy Renner hospitalized and in critical condition.

Renner was trying to save his adult nephew from being hit by the plow when he was crushed, the sheriff’s incident report revealed.

The reason for the accident? The machine started to slide sideways after Renner attempted to use the plow to get his nephew’s car out of the snow. He jumped out of the plow without activating the emergency brake.

“When Renner attempted to stop or divert the Pistenbully to avoid injury to (his nephew), he was pulled under the vehicle by the track and run over,” the incident report read.

Renner’s nephew helped him as they waited for medical assistance and the actor was airlifted to a trauma center.

He sustained serious injuries to his legs and chest, breaking more than 30 bones, and has undergone multiple surgeries. Renner returned home earlier this month after spending two weeks in the hospital.
