Kathie Lee Gifford has been chosen as this year’s Grand Marshall at Leiper’s Fork, Tennessee’s “Almost World Famous” Christmas Parade.

“It’s wonderful to have Kathie Lee leading our parade this year,” said event organizer Carla Harris. “She brings national notoriety as a broadcaster, Broadway and film actress, screenwriter, songwriter, and singer. We’re fortunate to have Kathie Lee as a resident of Williamson County, and as the Grand Marshal of our ‘Almost World Famous’ Christmas Parade.”

The annual event features homemade Christmas-themed floats that are shown of throughout the parade. The parade often features farm animals and an appearance from Santa alongside the homemade floats.

Gifford moved to Tennessee in 2019 after leaving TODAY. She finds small town life much more fulfilling than living in a city like L.A. and is grateful that she is able to enjoy life to the full at her farm.

“I have a little farm in Tennessee as well as my home there, and I live next to big, big, big stars who have like 15,000 acres. I’ve got 10 little acres. I’m so happy there,” Gifford told Fox News Digital in May.

Gifford is one of many stars who has chosen to leave L.A. for a simpler life and found extreme fulfillment in doing so. STRANGER THINGS star Millie Bobby Brown, for example, loves her farm in Georgia that she lives on with her husband Jake Bonjiovi.

“I’m not doing it [farm life] for the aesthetic. I’m doing it because I love it,” the 20-year-old actress told Vanity Fair earlier this year. “There are maybe some trad wives [a type of homemaker influencer] out there doing it because it seems wholesome, but it is not.”

“If you’re not picking up horse [poop] or washing a cow with your bare hands, then that life is not made for you. At all,” she joked.

Brown takes caring for the animals so seriously that she has taken college classes in human services and veterinary studies so she would be able to fully care for the animals on her farm.

“I’m able to treat wounds, take their pulse, moderate blood pressure, things like that,” Brown explained. “I do all their medical records myself. Adoption campaigns are wonderful temporarily, but you really have to get in there and do the work to make a difference.”

As Hollywood’s stars leave L.A. for simpler lives, it is amazing to see them became a part of their communities and bring a spotlight to small town life. Leiper Fork’s “Almost World Famous” Christmas Parade will take place on December 13 starting at 2 p.m. CST.
