Kel Mitchell Explains How God Saves Us From the Wilderness
By Movieguide® Contributor
Actor Kel Mitchell explained how God can save us from any situation and why we need to be in conversation with Him every day.
“As God’s children and as believers, we’re known by our fruit,” Mitchell said. “So we grow daily in the spirit. We should have spiritual conversations every day with others about Jesus all the time, right. We bring new life by talking about the one who brings us new life, okay.”
However, Mitchell realizes that not everyone is in a position to lead a conversation about God. Sometimes, when we are going through trials of life, we get distracted and allow our problems to become bigger than Him. This does not mean that God is done with us; it means that God is ready to work a miracle.
“We are designed to grow spiritually, and some of us have stepped on land or into situations that God never wanted us to build on because the ground is empty, the ground is toxic, sin is there,” he said. “If we give into the enemy, he manipulates the mind and uses those distractions to try to take our attention away from God through bad decisions, weariness [and] exhaustion. Bad situations that you’re trying to fix. Burnt out, overwhelmed by life’s shocking surprises that turn into hopelessness.”
“You feel like you can’t grow, then the field of the mind becomes toxic, the heart becomes toxic, which looks like wasteland. God wants to bring new life. God wants to grow new blessings, do something new, beautiful in your life,” Mitchell added.
“But if the field of the mind is toxic, nothing can grow…But here is what is so beautiful about our God. Even when we’re lost in the wilderness, feeling hopelessness in your own wasteland, God knows exactly where you are, and he knows exactly what you need. He is ready to show you His power and do something new in your life,” he continued. “He’s ready to give you peace, comfort and turn things around for His good. He is still the God of miracles.”
Mitchell frequently encourages his followers to pursue Christ.
“Ask God to direct your path,” he posted on Instagram. “But don’t ask God to direct your path if you’re not willing to move your feet. Remember obedience unlocks the answers, so when he says, ‘Go,’ let’s go.”
The GOOD BURGER star is a youth pastor at the Spirit Food Christian Center in California.
“When I got the call to be a youth pastor, God spoke to me so clearly in my time of prayer. And I said, ‘Yo, I’m going to do it. I’m going to do it.’ He’s been there for me. And I want others to feel this joy and to feel this peace. We want people to live. We want people to enjoy life. And I’m all about that,” he said.

Actor Kel Mitchell took to Instagram to remind his followers to trust God and give him their problems.
“Imagine whatever situation you’re going through is falling off of you right now in the name of Jesus. See, sometimes you got to just take that thing off. Take it off. Because sometimes people put things on you that wasn’t supposed to be on you,” he said.
“This is spiritual warfare…and you got to understand that it might be something that’s in your family that was put on you. Somebody praying against you, but that stops right now,” Mitchell continued. “You got to trust Him.”
He also declared, “Everyone will know it was God,” and “Prayer is in my business plan.”
