Can You Guess This Marvel Star’s Favorite Worship Song?
By Movieguide® Contributor
BLACK PANTHER star Letitia Wright revealed her favorite worship song.
“I wouldn’t say I have a favorite because there’s so many good ones, but if I were to say there’s one that always moves me, it’s William McDowell’s Here I Am to Worship. It just always gets me in my field,” Wright told Premier Christian Radio.
Wright has become more public about her faith and even created her own production company, Threesixteen.

Her latest project, SOUND OF HOPE: THE STORY OF POSSUM TROT, released earlier this year.
It follows “Donna and Reverend Martin as they ignite a fire in the hearts of their rural church to embrace kids in the foster system that nobody else would take. By doing the impossible–adopting 77 children–this East Texas community proved that, with real, determined love, the battle for America’s most vulnerable can be won.”
SOUND OF HOPE: THE STORY OF POSSUM TROT is a beautiful story about an entire town taking in foster children. As such, it has a strong Christian, morally uplifting worldview. However, the movie does deal with some of the realities and hardships foster families and foster children undergo. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for children and families. However, SOUND OF HOPE: THE STORY OF POSSUM TROT shows that God’s love is real and that, no matter what your past is, God will always be with you.
“I love justice and I love equality and fairness. I’m just for that, and I feel like this film combines those two things I’m really passionate about,” Wright said at the movie’s premiere.
The Marvel actress keeps her relationship with God her top priority because “there’s nothing that compares to it.”
“I try to be super honest. I try not to fake it or pretend. If I’m having a bad day, I’m having a bad day. If I’m feeling good, I’m feeling good. If I’m worried, I’m worried. I just take it all to God, and I feel like that honesty allows me to have a real connection.” she added.
“Worrying will kill you, man,” Wright previously told W Magazine. “It will…Eat. You. Up. But in the Bible, Jesus is basically like, ‘Chill out, guys.’ If you gracefully trust that everything is going to be okay, you start to feel lighter. You’ve just got to let go and let God.”
