MAN VS. WILD’s Bear Grylls to Host New Competition Show

Bear Grylls is set to host Amazon Prime’s reality competition series WORLD’S TOUGHEST RACE: ECO-CHALLENGE FIJI.

The new series comes from the creators of SURVIVOR.

According to Fox News, viewers can watch 66 teams from 30 countries “Race nonstop for 11 days, 24 hours a day, across hundreds of miles of harsh Fijian terrain complete with mountains, jungles and oceans.”

The series is 10 episodes with over 300 competitors. The competitors break into five teams and race through 671 kilometers of terrain to reach the finish line.

Because competitors come from countries all over the world, the series will premiere in over 200 countries on August 14.

Host Grylls, most popularly known for his show MAN VS. WILD, is an outspoken Christian.

Last fall, Grylls released a devotional book titled SOUL FUEL about his Christian faith and how it helps him “survive life’s toughest challenges.”

He told Fox News that “the most important part of his life…is faith in Jesus Christ.”

“I didn’t really mean it to be public. I wrote this book because I try to do something every day at the start of the day … and I’ve just written down notes over the years of things that have helped me … where I secretly find my strength … It’s rooted in Christ’s teaching but it’s all about love,” said Grylls.
