Mike Pompeo, David Friedman Investigate ‘Biblical Highway’ in New Movie

U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will investigate Route 60 in the movie ROUTE 60: THE BIBLICAL HIGHWAY.
“The ancient biblical road, Route 60, spans a mere 146 miles, yet it has seen countless biblical events and was even walked by Jesus Christ Himself,” the Christian Post reported. “Known as the ‘Road of the Patriarchs,’ the path is significant for both Jews and Christians — and will be shown like never before.”
The religious background of both of these men is significant to this journey. The Daily Wire shared that Pompeo is an evangelical Christian, and Friedman is an Orthodox Jew.
“Of significance to Christians, the road cuts through Nazareth, where Jesus was conceived and lived his life; Bethlehem, where Jesus was born; and Jerusalem, where Jesus died and was laid to rest,” The Daily Wire reported.
But the Biblical significance of this region spans back to thousands of years before Jesus walked the earth. King David created the capital of Jerusalem a thousand years before Jesus.
“The road also cuts through Shiloh, which for 369 years served as the center of Israel, as well as some of the most revered sites in Judaism — Rachel’s Tomb, and the Altar of Joshua, where the first real formation of a Jewish state took place,” The Daily Wire added.
“When I look at the world today, we have, to a certain extent, lost our way,” Friedman shared with Christian Post. “We lose our way because we become untethered from the principles that we as a country were founded upon.”
“Our Bible still sells, and it’s still relevant, but it’s become far less relevant to many people, people of power, people of influence, than it has been in the past. It’s a shame because the great values that we hold are values that came from the Bible,” he explained.
The movie will premiere in theaters September 18 and 19.
