Missy Robertson ‘Thanking God for His Protection’ After Tornado Hits Home

DUCK DYNASTY’s Jase and Missy Robertson are thanking God for his protection after a tornado hit their property last week.
“Last night our Tennessee farm took a direct hit from a Cat 3 tornado,” Missy posted last week along with photos of the damage.
“It actually hit about 30 seconds after @thecolerobertson drove into the driveway. He got out of his car and looked straight at it coming up over our back hill. Thankfully, we have a safe room in our garage, but it’s on the other side of our home, and Cole decided in a split second that he didn’t have time to make it there. He turned to run inside and was forced to the ground by the winds. He was able to get up, run inside and dive into the bathtub where he covered his head and listened to glass shattering and trees falling on the house and all around him. He escaped completely unharmed,” she shared.
Missy revealed that only God could have protected him.
“After seeing the aerial pictures today, we know now he would not have made it to the safe room as multiple large trees fell between his car and the garage,” she continued. “What’s even more surreal is that @realjaseduckman was praying over our meal in Louisiana and asking God for protection for our family at the exact same time: 5:52 pm. We had no idea what was happening.”
“We’re thanking God for His protection over Cole today and our sweet neighbors who also took the hit,” Missy concluded. “Please pray for those who are injured, missing and the families that lost loved ones. Our damage is extensive and clean-up has started and will be a long process, but right now this mama is completely thankful for God’s mercy over one of my most valuable possessions.”
A few days later, Jase shared several photos of the damage.
“It’s been a long couple of days and pretty much everything in my body hurts,” he wrote. “Thanks for the prayers and encouragement. It’s been overwhelming and exhausting. Please pray for our neighbors. Some of them lost everything.”

DUCK DYNASTY’s Missy Robertson recently took to Instagram to share a story of when her sons Reed and Cole had to step up and take on new responsibilities when they were children.
“Long before DUCK DYNASTY our family was faced with an unforeseen calamity in that our newborn baby girl was born with a severe cleft lip/palate,” she began.
Missy is referring to her now 20-year-old daughter Mia who has faced many health issues throughout her life…
Robertson added, “After the first long day of doctors’ team’s visits in Dallas, @realjaseduckman called a surprise family meeting where he gave our 8-year-old son, Reed, the new task of setting an alarm, getting himself and his 5-year-old brother up every morning and getting ready for school because I would now be focusing my time on their new baby sister who needed every ounce of energy I could give her. Of course, I spoke up in defense of my little boys who were, in my motherly opinion, far too young to take on this responsibility.”
To her surprise, her sons took on the challenge well.
“Even in my protest, Reed jumped up to get his dad’s alarm clock and was more than ready to start this journey of early responsibility. I knew this would never work. Ha! I was wrong. The next morning, to my dumbfounded surprise, Reed did everything his dad expected of him. He continued, eventually along with Cole, to do this with no second thought every day until they grew up and left home,” she continued.
