Netflix’s F IS FOR FAMILY Promotes Obscene Sexualization of Children and Foul Language

By Movieguide® Staff

In November, Netflix released its final season of the animated comedy, F IS FOR FAMILY. Unfortunately, the installment is rife with foul language, sexual jokes regarding children, and strong anti-God sentiment.

In one of the episodes in Season 5, characters mock Catholicism and the sacrament of communion. In another irreverent conversation, characters sexualize Mother Mary and the Christmas story about Jesus’ birth.

Moreover, the show also includes graphic sexual content, including jokes about pornography and the sexualization of children. Aside from foul, sexual language spoken by minors throughout the show, there are immoral visual jokes in the final season.

The writers further sexualized children with sight gags. In episode four, Thank You So Much, families with young children stand on the sidewalk as a Thanksgiving parade goes by. A well-endowed donkey float passes and the shadow of its penis falls across the faces of children in the crowd as the emcee remarks how large it is. A vandalized vendor truck also passes with a picture of a little boy enjoying a popsicle with graffiti of a penis ejaculating into the boy’s mouth and female breasts drawn onto his chest.

In episode five, The Searchers, Bill and Philip invite friends over to see one of two cartoon films the police allowed them to choose from a box marked “Inadmissible” in the locked evidence cage. However, one of the reels ends up being a pornographic movie, which they accidentally show to their friends.

Pushing immoral content like F IS FOR FAMILY has become a common occurrence for Netflix.

Movieguide® previously reported on the sexualization of children in another animated comedy, BIG MOUTH:

Tim Winter condemned the animated series BIG MOUTH as a “pornographic” cartoon that puts “millions of children” in danger.

“Netflix needs to be hit and hit hard for airing a pornographic cartoon series called BIG MOUTH,” Winter wrote in a recent press release. “It is the most utterly sickening ‘entertainment’ I’ve seen in my 40 years in this industry—and dangerous to the millions of children who view it or the adults who may be encouraged to act-out because of it.”

Winter continues: “Why do I say BIG MOUTH is the vilest thing I’ve seen in 40 years of working in Hollywood—and probably the most dangerous? First, it’s a cartoon. This attracts naïve, impressionable children. It also disarms parents, who are more apt to let their kids watch a cartoon. ‘How bad could a cartoon be?’ they will think.”

It is not only vile animated series that Netflix insists on promoting. In 2020, Netflix came under fire for its refusal to remove the movie CUTIES, which sexualized young girls.

Netflix continues to shun the values of families and Christians worldwide by fostering immoral content like F IS FOR FAMILY to viewers, both suspecting and unsuspecting.
