New Set Photos Give Fans A Hint About Second Season Of THE RINGS OF POWER

Production for the second season of THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER is already underway, and some recent behind-the-scenes set pictures hinted at what fans can expect from the upcoming episodes.
The first season of RINGS OF POWER was filmed in New Zealand, but for the second season, production has shifted to Berkshire in the UK.
Photos of a constructed set show a detailed castle courtyard being constructed, including covered walkways, towers, and what appears to be a fountain.
Fans have hypothesized that this will mean the second season will take the characters to Lindon, the Elven region of LORD OF THE RINGS’ fictional land.
Not a lot is known about the upcoming season of RINGS OF POWER, but a few details about the cast have been revealed. Movieguide® previously reported:
THE LORD OF THE RINGS: RINGS OF POWER has added eight new cast members as they prepare to start work on the upcoming second season.
According to Deadline, Oliver Alvin-Wilson, Stuart Bowman), Gavi Singh Chera, William Chubb, Kevin Eldon, Will Keen, Selina Lo, and Calam Lynch are set to join the cast.
These new actors will join previously announced new actors Sam Hazeldine, Gabriel Akuwudike, Yasen ‘Zates’ Atour, Ben Daniels, Amelia Kenworthy, Nia Towle and Nicholas Woodeson.
No character descriptions have been released yet except for Hazeldine, who will play Adar, leader of the orcs.
There are some hypotheses about who these new cast members will play. It’s likely that one will play the elf Círdan, while others will play Dwarf-kings or the character Nazgûl.

Amazon claimed that the debut of their new series, THE LORD OF THE RINGS: THE RINGS OF POWER, brought in 25 million viewers worldwide on Sept. 2, Amazon Prime’s most successful premiere to date.

Amazon announced THE RINGS OF POWER is also their most expensive series yet, with just the first season costing 465 million in U.S. dollars.
Despite early comparisons to GAME OF THRONES, the debut episodes of the series—based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s classic “Lord of the Rings” series and Peter Jackson’s movie adaptations—upheld the values of the original work.
