HACKSAW RIDGE Actor Shares Passionate Sermon About the Glory of Christ

HACKSAW RIDGE actor Nathaniel Buzolic shared a bold, biblical truth on Instagram to encourage followers in this time of hate in our country.
Buzolic, who is known to share his faith on social media, recently shared a post about Jesus’ death on the cross and how it relates to today’s society.
He wrote, “An unconventional Glory coupled with an inconvenient truth. Jesus was lifted up on a cross, a cross He allowed himself to be placed on by hate, pride, fear, hypocrisy and human evil.
“The sheer brutality and suffering inflicted during this form of death highlights to us what we as a human race are capable of doing to one another; this happens quickly & easily when we don’t agree or when we don’t want our rights, our power or our control to be taken out of our Petty little hands… HOWEVER Jesus’ death also reveals what God was CAPABLE of & WILLING to do to bring us back from the brink of the most heinous and destructive of paths we all find ourselves walking down,” he added.
The actor then explained that only love conquers hate, and that only a “biblical love” can conquer a “universal hate.”
The biblical love he talks about is Jesus dying on the cross.
He wrote, “A self sacrificing love from God making an offer to a much weaker party, something which that weaker party does not earn or deserve, but it is something that is still given by this stronger party we know as God none the less. What was given? His son, His problem solver, His representative here on Earth.”
“Now before you go telling me that God didn’t need to take on human flesh, think about the reality of God taking on human flesh to actually show you what love looks like. In willingness to be consumed by our evil, so we can finally understand that we have the curse and his love is the cure. That’s the inconvenient truth. Imagine The strength & self control that Jesus had, He allowed His OWN creation to kill him When He could have removed the very breathe from our lungs with a thought in the blink of an eye.”
Buzolic ended the post by talking about what Jesus’ love proves.
“What Jesus proves is this; His ability to love goes so far beyond our deepest understandings, And because we fail to understand God’s steadfast & faithful love in light of our own flawed & broken love, we choose to minimize this Historical event in an effort to justify ourselves with Good works or our own definitions of Goodness. See God’s Glory.”
