Rob Schneider Surprises Fans While Promoting New Family Movie

By Movieguide® Staff

Comedian Rob Schneider surprised fans while working in a drive-thru to promote his new movie, DADDY DAUGHTER TRIP.

Schneider handed customers their orders through an Arizona Raising Cane’s window, along with tickets to see his new movie that premieres this week.

“Our company, Mandalini Films, is now based in Scottsdale, and we are very proud to have made our film ‘Daddy Daughter Trip’ entirely here in Arizona,” Schneider said. “It’s truly a postcard for the state’s picturesque cinematic locations. We are grateful to the people of Arizona for their support and generosity of spirit in what we hope is the first of many family-friendly films we want to make right here in our new home.”

Schneider moved his family to Arizona during the pandemic after feeling restricted by California’s intensive COVID-19 guidelines.

“We wanted them to grow up in a place where they could enjoy their childhood in a place that is clean, and we have nice, beautiful opportunities to enjoy snow and trees in Flagstaff. I also think it’s a free state. It really is. I think the liberties here … People don’t take them for granted. I just feel like I can breathe in every possible way,” Schneider said.

Additionally, the state afforded the family the opportunity to continue in the entertainment industry.

“I had no idea of the different potential cinematic opportunities the state provides and just how beautiful a place it is to raise a family. Forget about making movies. How about making a happy family?” he said.

Schneider’s daughter, Miranda Scarlett Schneider, will join her father in her first acting role about a father and daughter who take a spring break road trip the family can’t afford and encounter many misadventures.

While Schneider has previously taken many raunchy roles, the comedian has recently backed away from more salacious content and instead promoted more family and conservative viewpoints.

“I prioritize supporting a country that provides the same Freedoms for my children that made my career possible. This legacy to me is more important to me than the next chapter of my career,” Schneider said.

Movieguide® has yet to review DADDY DAUGHTER TRIP and cannot advise on its content.
