Sadie Robertson Huff Can’t ‘Get Enough’ of the Bible — Here’s Why

By Movieguide® Contributor

Sadie Robertson Huff loves the Word of God.

In a recent Instagram post, the DUCK DYNASTY star shared a special moment as she studied the Bible.

“I hesitate to post this because I like to keep these study moments as my private time. I don’t want to be applauded for the unseen moments, because this time for me is such a sacred time with the Lord,” she began.

“I rarely ever take pictures of these moments. Most of them lately are late at night or early in the morning just quiet before the Lord. Meditating on His words on the paper, and the whispers in my spirit. But I took this picture because I didn’t want to forget this moment. I cannot get enough of this word. This story.”

She continued by explaining how the Bible is not boring; rather, it is rich and full of life.

“It is like binging a tv show I can’t turn off,” she said. “I can’t tell you the amount of times as I have read recently that tears have begun to flow from my eyes because the beauty of these pages is so rich.”

Huff shared how not every season of getting in God’s word feels exciting, but that’s okay.

“I will be the first to admit there are seasons when reading my bible feels hard, and not very exciting. But today, as I’m reading a story I have read many times, it is refreshing my spirit in a way I didn’t even know I needed…. The more I learn the more the tears flow. Before any message I ever share publicly God is teaching me, refining me, growing me privately. I love His word. I love Jesus.”

Instagram users commented with gratitude for her post. “So so good friend. A beautiful way to share a private moment!!! And encouraging to all of us in the secret place ❤️❤️❤️,” one person said.

Another person chimed in, “I feel the SAME way about this season in my quiet time with Him?? He’s SO good. I love that you shared this picture, thank you!”

Huff has a great point in her vulnerable post. The word of God is alive and something we should strive to learn more about. Hebrews 4:12 says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.”

Huff explores the Bible’s wisdom in depth in her upcoming book The Next Step: 50 Devotions to Find Your Way Forward.

“The Next Step was written through the framework of the Bible’s Wisdom Books—Psalms, Proverbs, Song of Solomon, Job, and Ecclesiastes. I hope that this book helps you learn that the word of God can help guide all of your steps,” she posted.

Movieguide® previously reported on another recent project from the DUCK DYNASTY alum:

Sadie Robertson Huff revealed the heart behind her new song “Mirror” which helps listeners combat the lie that their body is unwanted.

“When we sat down to write that day, I said, ‘Let’s try to write out testimony, but in a way that leads other people to their testimony!’ I was not planning on writing based on my own experience that day. I thought I would help tell everyone else’s story — until someone mentioned writing on body image,” Huff said.

“As we started talking about what girls need to hear, I sat there quietly, thinking, ‘That’s actually what I needed to hear,’” she continued. “I opened up to my friends that day about how hard my teenage years were regarding body image and how much that held me back. I remember that, as I was being seen by many, all I wanted to do was hide. I was telling everyone to live original but struggling to do so myself.”

“I’m grateful now to say I don’t feel the need or desire to hide!” Huff proclaimed. “I know our lives are SO much more significant than we look like…our physical beauty is fleeting, but if we are so insecure that all we want to do is hide, how can we fully live what God has for us?”
