By Movieguide® Contributor
Sadie Robertson Huff hopped on the “I met my younger self for coffee” trend, hoping it reminds her fans that God has a perfect plan for their lives.
“I met my younger self for coffee/ She showed up on time, I was 5 minutes late with my two daughters by my side,” Robertson wrote over a video of her and her two daughters, Honey and Haven. “She ordered a vanilla latte, I ordered a strawberry matcha. She cried over a break up, I told her about my incredible husband. She was nervous about what her future would hold, I told her God’s plan is better than she could ever imagine.”
The “I met my younger self for coffee” trend started going viral over the last few days as creators across the internet reflect on the encouragement they’d give their younger selves, inspired by Jennae Cecelia’s book of poems Deep In My Feels.
Like Huff’s post, the trend begins with “lighthearted” contrasts, “like differences in punctuality or coffee preferences, before transitioning into deeper topics like mental health, career aspirations, heartbreak, or self-discovery,” Dexerto reported.
“I love this trend so much,” Huff wrote in the caption. “It’s amazing what you can see in hindsight looking back at the plan God has for you. God has you in the season you’re in and He is not surprised. He can redeem every single moment! Keep walking with Him friends.”

Her followers chimed in, sharing how they’ve experienced or hope to experience the same thing one day.
“Can’t wait to be able to make one of these one day. You inspire me more than you know. Thank you for all you do,” one person wrote.
Another said, “It’s incredible how, in hindsight, we can see God’s hand in every season—even in the moments that felt uncertain or painful. Nothing is wasted with Him. He knows exactly where we are, and His plans are always greater than anything we could imagine.”
“Love this and can’t wait to experience this in the future,” another commented. “Currently in the waiting season. And trusting in God’s perfect plan and timing.”
