Sadie Robertson Huff: ‘The Love Of Jesus Changes Everything!’

By Movieguide® Contributor

Sadie Robertson Huff recently took to Instagram to remind her followers that no matter what, they have the love of Jesus Christ.

“February is here and the first thing a lot of people think about is valentines day and relationships, which for some can be a hard thing to look forward to for so many reasons,” Huff wrote in a recent post. “I get it! I have really sweet Valentines days these days, but I’ve also had the single ones, the hard ones, the one that I found out my boyfriend was cheating on me… all the things…”

She continued, “BUT I want to remind you that no matter what your relationship status is that YOU ARE LOVED. you are so wildly loved by the one who created you that if you stopped for a minute and thought about it, it would probably change everything about you! your confidence, your joy, your peace… everything!”

“the revelation of the love of Jesus changes everything!” Huff concluded.

Huff often talks about her faith and encourages her followers to let Jesus into their hearts. Movieguide® previously reported:

In a recent video, Sadie Robertson Huff shared how God has impacted her life and encouraged others to open themselves to His purpose in their own lives.

“God has been putting this idea in my head,” she started. “I just really felt led to share a lot of my testimony that a lot of people don’t know.”

She started by sharing her family’s rise to fame with DUCK DYNASTY, and how she initially struggled with the idea of having a platform to share her voice. Huff was uncomfortable speaking in public, so instead, she decided to write a book.

“I wrote a book called ‘Live Original,’ and the irony of that is now I speak from a ministry called Live Original,” she shared. “So, God’s crazy like that.”

Then, Huff moved into her thoughts on how her listeners could let God work through them, usingthe story of Luke 5:1-11:

One day as Jesus was standing by the Lake of Gennesaret,[a] the people were crowding around him and listening to the word of God.2 He saw at the water’s edge two boats, left there by the fishermen, who were washing their nets. 3 He got into one of the boats, the one belonging to Simon, and asked him to put out a little from shore. Then he sat down and taught the people from the boat.

4 When he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water, and let down the nets for a catch.”

5 Simon answered, “Master, we’ve worked hard all night and haven’t caught anything. But because you say so, I will let down the nets.”

6 When they had done so, they caught such a large number of fish that their nets began to break. 7 So they signaled their partners in the other boat to come and help them, and they came and filled both boats so full that they began to sink.

8 When Simon Peter saw this, he fell at Jesus’ knees and said, “Go away from me, Lord; I am a sinful man!” 9 For he and all his companions were astonished at the catch of fish they had taken,10 and so were James and John, the sons of Zebedee, Simon’s partners.

Then Jesus said to Simon, “Don’t be afraid; from now on you will fish for people.” 11 So they pulled their boats up on shore, left everything and followed him. (NIV)

“When you’re in a relationship with Jesus and you let Him into your boat, you invite in an opportunity for Him to change the lives of everyone around you,” Huff explained. She encouraged the audience to consider three questions: “What is your boat? What spaces are you in that you can invite Jesus into? What are your fish?”

Huff also shared that, in order to fully accept Jesus into your “boat,” you have to let go of your safety nets, whether that’s social media, a romantic relationship, or a career you don’t love.

“Your life and ministry should not be two separate things,” Huff said. “Because that would mean your relationship with Jesus is not welcomed in your life. Your relationship with Jesus and your goals in life should go hand in hand.”

She shared her own feelings once she “welcomed Jesus into [her] boat,” saying, “I was doing things for the purpose of serving Christ. Everything changes when you invite Jesus into the boat.”
