Professional golfer Scottie Scheffler uses all his victories to give glory to God, and his win last weekend was no different.
At the PGA Championship, Scheffler and fellow golfer John Rahm were battling it out the entire time. As Rahm was about to take his shot, he heard the crowd go wild on the 14th hole across the water, “where Scottie Scheffler had just made birdie to go up by two shots, [which] all but spelled out his major championship fate,” per ESPN.
“Even if you don’t want to look at leaderboards,” Rahm told ESPN, “the crowd lets you know.”
Ultimately, Scheffler secured his third major championship in his career.
“This back nine will be one that I remember for a long time,” Scheffler declared. “To step up when I needed to the most, I’ll remember that for a while.”
On Monday, he took a moment to reflect on the win and share some photos on Instagram.
“This week was unforgettable! All glory to God,” the golfer wrote in the caption.
His faith drives Scheffler to get up every morning and chase his dream.

In a video shared on X, Scheffler and YouTube golf star Grant Horvat talked about the importance of keeping God at the center of everything.
“I say it’s encouraging — you and Ted Scott talking about your faith a lot. That’s such a big part of my life, that is the most important thing to me,” Horvat told Scheffler. “And on the biggest stage, you know, you’re talking and you’re glorifying the Lord and just talking about Jesus. I just want to say thank you, because it’s really encouraging, and I really do appreciate it.”
Scheffler replied: “I appreciate the encouragement. It’s always needed, you know, I feel like that’s one of the, you know, it’s a tough life that we live. Life’s not supposed to be easy. And faith is obviously a huge part of what I do and the reason I go out and play golf every week and spend time away from my family. Like, I mean, who wouldn’t want to just sit at home all day and hang out with their kid and wife? I’ve been given a skill to play golf pretty well and use it to glorify God.”
