The Best Christmas Movies Streaming on Netflix

JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM is a heartfelt musical about the Nativity Story and the Birth of Jesus Christ, with scenes of King Herod the Great, played by Antonio Banderas, who orders his son, Antipater, to find the Christ child and kill him. Though some people avoid musicals, JOURNEY TO BETHLEHEM is really a terrific, entertaining one that treats the Birth of Jesus with the theological seriousness it deserves but also includes some funny comic relief, good songs, plenty of jeopardy, and wonderful acting.

FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS is a romantic comedy on Netflix about a spoiled hotel heiress, but gets in a ski accident that leaves her with amnesia. FALLING FOR CHRISTMAS creates a light, heartfelt Christmas mood for viewers and is filled with love and family.

OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP is a romantic comedy streaming on Netflix about a Congressional aide named Erica, who’s forced by her boss to travel to Gaum and work over the Christmas holidays against the backdrop of Anderson Air Force Base’s annual humanitarian Christmas drop. The comedy in OPERATION CHRISTMAS DROP is hit or miss, but the movie’s historical background, good performances and heartfelt messages of humility, sacrifice, love, and Christmas cheer overshadow the blandness.

ALIEN XMAS is an adorable animated Christmas special on Netflix about an alien named X who learns about the Christmas spirit. ALIEN XMAS is an adorable Christmas special with strong moral, redemptive values that rebukes greed and extols kindness, family, sacrificial love, and generosity, but it never directly addresses the birth of Jesus the Messiah, the true meaning of Christmas.

In THE PRINCESS SWITCH: SWITCHED AGAIN, Stacy tries to help her friend, Kevin, get back together with Margaret, who’s about to be crowned Queen of Montenaro, but Margaret’s greedy, conniving cousin, Fiona, throws a monkey wrench into Stacy’s plans.
